Import & export ERP
From proforma to port to warehouse — every LC, GD and rupee of landed cost on one shipment file
Meezan ERP set up for a sample import & export business: its own documents, vouchers and WhatsApp automation. It plays by itself — click any screen to take over, or type your company name and press the button.
What the demo shows — 10 screens
- Owner dashboardShipments in transit and at port, LC exposure, export proceeds due and cash — on one screen and on WhatsApp.
- Import LCThe letter of credit opened against the supplier's proforma — HS codes, quantities and value in dollars.
- Shipment fileOne file per consignment: every stage, document and date — the free days at port are counted down for you.
- GD duties & taxesThe goods declaration assessment from WeBOC — duties go to cost, sales tax and income tax stay adjustable.
- Landed cost sheetEvery cost on the shipment added to the goods — the real cost per kg before a single bag is sold.
- TT payment voucherThe balance TT to the Chinese supplier paid in yuan — the rupee cost and bank charges booked on the day.
- CNY supplier ledgerThe supplier's account kept in yuan and in rupees — the exchange loss on this order shown, not guessed.
- Export invoiceRice exported in dollars — bags, tonnage and value, with the EFE and proceeds realisation tracked against it.
- WhatsApp — ownerThe owner approves the TT and gets the morning shipment report on WhatsApp — no login needed.
- WhatsApp — agents & buyersThe clearing agent updates the file from the port, and the supplier and buyer get their documents on WhatsApp.
How Meezan ERP runs a import & export business
In import and export the margin is decided by things that happen after the deal: the exchange rate on the day of retirement, the duty assessed on the GD, demurrage at the port and the bank's charges. Meezan ERP keeps one shipment file for every consignment, from the proforma and the LC or TT to the bill of lading, the goods declaration filed on WeBOC and the delivery to the warehouse. Duties, port and clearing charges fall into the landed cost per kg automatically, and supplier and buyer ledgers run in USD and CNY with the exchange difference worked out. Exporters see every invoice against its EFE, proceeds realisation and final tax.
Usual weak points
- Landed cost worked out in a spreadsheet weeks after the goods are sold
- LC and TT payments booked at one rate, exchange loss discovered at year end
- Shipment status lives in the clearing agent's phone — demurrage starts before anyone notices
- Export proceeds and rebate claims tracked on paper and followed up late
How Meezan ERP covers them
- Shipment file per consignment: PI, LC / TT, B/L, GD, delivery and every document attached
- Duties and taxes from the goods declaration posted with adjustable sales tax and income tax kept separate
- Landed cost per kg or per unit, including LC charges, insurance, port, clearing and transport
- Foreign-currency ledgers in USD and CNY with realised and unrealised exchange difference
