How Meezan ERP runs a housing societies business
A housing society is a long promise: a buyer pays a booking amount today and instalments for three or four years, files change hands through dealers, and development charges come on top. Meezan ERP keeps the plot inventory by block and size, issues file numbers on booking, builds the instalment plan and charges late surcharge on its own. Transfers are cleared with an NDC only when the file shows no dues, dealers are paid commission from the files they actually sold, and the owner sees collections and defaulters every evening.
Usual weak points
- Plot status kept in a register — the same plot offered to two buyers
- Instalments tracked in Excel; late surcharge forgotten or waived by habit
- Files transferred without checking development charges and arrears
- Dealer commission paid on bookings that were later cancelled
How Meezan ERP covers them
- Plot inventory by block, size (marla / kanal) and category — available, booked, allotted, on hold
- Booking form, file number and a payment plan generated in one step
- Instalment receipts with automatic late surcharge, receipts on WhatsApp
- NDC and file transfer only after the system shows a clear file
The workflow, step by step
