How Meezan ERP runs a food industries business
A food factory is judged batch by batch: one wrong Brix, a missing best-before or an expired pest-control certificate can stop a whole line, and a few percent of extra paste or packing wastage wipes out the margin. Meezan ERP runs production from the approved recipe, issues ingredients and packing material against each batch and records the quality checks at every critical control point. Every carton carries its batch number and best-before date, so a complaint or a PFA inspection can be traced back to the raw material lot in a minute. Sales to distributors, recovery and payroll sit in the same system, so the owner sees the real cost and profit per product.
Usual weak points
- Recipes live in the production manager's notebook and actual consumption is never compared
- Quality checks written on loose sheets that cannot be found during an inspection
- Packing material wastage and short-dated stock discovered at the stock count
- Distributors' complaints cannot be traced to a batch or a raw material lot
How Meezan ERP covers them
- Recipe and formulation per product with standard cost, yield and process loss
- Batch production record with HACCP critical control points and QC results
- Shelf life, best-before and batch coding carried from production to the distributor's invoice
- PFA licence, medical certificates, pest control and lab tests tracked with due dates
